Anhydrous sodium sulfate storage methods mainly include the following aspects :
Storage temperature and humidity : Anhydrous sodium sulfate should be stored at room temperature or below 30 degrees Celsius, avoiding heat and direct sunlight, which can cause anhydrous sodium sulfate to spoil. At the same time, the humidity of the storage environment should be below 50% to prevent the anhydrous sodium sulfate from absorbing water from the air.
Storage container : Anhydrous sodium sulfate should be stored in airtight containers to prevent contact with air and to absorb moisture. Clear glass bottles are a better choice because the state of anhydrous sodium sulfate can be observed. If plastic containers are used, corrosion resistant plastic materials such as PTFE, HDPE and LDPE should be selected, and metal containers should be avoided because anhydrous sodium sulfate is corrosive.
Storage area : The storage area should be away from flammable and explosive items and choose a smooth ground to prevent accidental leakage. Storage areas should be well ventilated to avoid areas without air movement. In addition, storage areas should regularly check the sealing of containers to ensure the safe storage of anhydrous sodium sulfate .
Storage time : The storage time of anhydrous sodium sulfate should be as short as possible, as prolonged storage can lead to reduced quality even under inappropriate conditions. Long-term storage can cause anhydrous sodium sulfate to absorb moisture from the air, leading to dampness and even failure.
